bugs / sound bugs

A series of kinetic sound installations exploring emergent behavior through small vibration motors resembling insects. Deconstructed electronic waste is reassembled as "nature for machines" — motors move irregularly across materials of varying textures, creating unpredictable collective rhythms from simple individual sounds. "bugs" was exhibited at gallery y, Tsukuba, as part of -間- group show "Between Organisms, Humans, and Computers" (May 14–22, 2022). "sound bugs" was exhibited at Hirasuna Art Movement "Mujina PLAY: A Dwelling of Multiplicity" (March 2021).
