Experimental and Numerical Study of Acoustic Streaming in Mid-Air Phased Arrays

Acoustic streaming generated by mid-air ultrasonic phased arrays is a critical factor that governs the performance of haptic displays, odor transport, and acoustic levitation. This study integrates particle image velocimetry with 3D acoustic-fluid numerical analysis to build and validate the first predictive model of streaming behavior in phased arrays.
